On October 6, 2025, the mission for inclusive education shone brighter than ever as GET INT’L in collaboration with Sabi QS successfully executed the Sponsor A Child Initiative 2.0. This vital outreach focused on providing essential learning tools and mobility aids to visually impaired children at the FCT School of the Blind, Jabi.
Empowering Vision Beyond Sight
The initiative, a testament to our commitment to equitable quality education (aligned with SDG 4), was specifically designed to bridge the resource gap faced by these exceptional students. For children with visual impairments, specialized equipment is not a luxury but a fundamental necessity for learning and personal development.
Through the generous support of our donors and partners, we were able to provide:
- Collapsible Mobile Canes: These crucial mobility aids grant students greater independence, helping them navigate their school environment and the world with confidence and safety.
- Slates & Stylus: The basic tools of Braille writing, these items are indispensable for literacy and academic engagement, opening up a world of knowledge.
A Day of Connection and Impact
The event at the FCT School of the Blind, Jabi, was a heartwarming success, marked by gratitude and palpable enthusiasm from the students and staff. Witnessing the children receive the tools that will directly enhance their learning experience reinforced the profound impact of collective giving.
GET INT’L extends its deepest gratitude to Sabi QS for their invaluable partnership and to every individual and organization that contributed to the success of this initiative. Your donations transformed into tangible support, proving that together, we can light up the path for every child to achieve their full potential.
Continuing the Mission
The Sponsor A Child Initiative is an ongoing commitment. While this event on October 6th marked a significant milestone, the needs of vulnerable children remain constant. We are continually working to secure resources for educational materials, mentorship programs, and support services.
